Glottodidactics in the context of democratisation of education

Glottodidactics is a special branch of Polish applied linguistics. The focus of this academic discipline is a general theory of foreign language learning and teaching. It differs from the methodology of language teaching at elementary schools, high schools as well as universities in that it combines elements of linguistics, psychology and general didactics. However, apart from glottodidactics, teaching becomes ever more influenced by social factors. Accordingly, glottodidactics needs to modify its approach to linguistics and general didactics (Umsetzung).
